Since its founding, the Come and See Foundation has introduced more than 300 million people to Jesus through The Chosen. The show's first season is now available in over 100 languages, greatly extending its global reach. The foundation has also raised $104 million to fund the production of seasons 4 and 5 and is actively working to secure funding for season 6. Through 5&2 Studios’ dedicated marketing efforts, over 15 million users have downloaded the app, bringing this story of Jesus to even more people. With its reach expanding rapidly, it seems only a matter of time before a billion people encounter the authentic Jesus through this powerful series.
In the summer of 2022, the groundbreaking TV series The Chosen was changing millions of lives with its historical drama based on the life of Jesus. Recognizing the series' profound impact, a visionary team approached Servant to explore strategic ways of amplifying The Chosen's reach and influence.
As a result, the Come and See (CAS) Foundation was established to provide resources, technology, ministry connections, and expertise to help The Chosen reach its goal: introduce a billion people to the authentic Jesus through the series and related content.
The project began with the CAS Foundation's initial leadership working closely with Servant on forming the nonprofit, selecting strategic partnerships, and building digital infrastructure. Together, we also navigated legal considerations and developed comprehensive strategies to guide their organization. Servant provided support and expertise as needed, complementing the foundation's internal capabilities during this formative phase.
As the project evolved, the CAS Foundation partnered with Servant to develop The Chosen app. Through a structured Request for Proposal (RFP) process and regular presentations, the CAS Foundation was able to strategically select the ideal partners for the app’s development and launch. Together, we also introduced an innovative intellectual property management approach, ensuring that every aspect of the app’s creation and deployment aligned with the Foundation’s core mission.
In addition to the app, the CAS Foundation collaborated with Servant to revamp its website. This effort involved multiple design iterations of key pages, the introduction of dynamic features like the Prayer and Share Your Story tools, and continuous user experience (UX) research to optimize functionality and engagement.
Furthermore, we provided support in refining the CAS Foundation’s fundraising strategies, planning go-to-market initiatives, and integrating new leadership into the executive team. These efforts played a vital role in the successful launch and international expansion of both The Chosen app and the new Come and See website.
Servant is committed to continually supporting the CAS Foundation as it expands its reach, with continued efforts in narrative development, data analysis, and strategic recommendations for app enhancements.
“Our team feels and believes you are an integral part of what we do. To helping with Donor Support, to App Governance with 5&2 Studios, to exploring tech solutions for Funraise and HubSpot to most recently getting the Church campaign launched so that churches would be able to stream season 4 of The Chosen FREE of charge. We could not do this without you… You all are AWESOME!!!”
