iLead has successfully transformed how leadership development is delivered in schools. By focusing on building strong relationships and providing comprehensive support, the program has created a sustainable model for developing young leaders who drive positive change in their communities.
In an era where leadership development is crucial, the Maxwell Leadership Foundation (MLF) launched iLead with an ambitious vision: to transform education by nurturing students into confident, capable leaders. After experiencing rapid initial success, iLead sought to scale their impact while maintaining program quality and engagement.
Through a series of targeted discovery sessions and an intensive on-site strategic analysis, iLead partnered with Servant to identify clear pathways for national scaling. By actively listening to key stakeholders and observing workflows firsthand, we uncovered critical insights about their operational dynamics and growth barriers. These findings informed the development of a comprehensive operational strategy and ecosystem map, providing iLead with a clear roadmap for expansion.
Building on this strategic foundation, a comprehensive Customer Experience (CX) assessment was conducted through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders across the iLead ecosystem. The assessment included conversations with teachers, principals, and iLead catalysts across multiple states and grade levels. This research revealed valuable insights about user engagement and highlighted the power of personal relationships in driving program success. We also used journey mapping to identify critical touchpoints where additional support could enhance teacher engagement and program implementation.
Insights from the CX assessment were translated into actionable recommendations, focusing on strengthening the relational network between iLead catalysts, school champions, and teachers. The strategy emphasized personalized support, targeted communication, and streamlined data collection processes. School champions were empowered with new tools and resources to support fellow teachers, creating a sustainable model for program growth.
"The progress has been significant and the work we did [together] was instrumental. I have had two follow up meetings with our team and will do one more this year to check ourselves against the goals we compiled at our offsite. AND just for fun - we already hit our goal for the number of students for the year."
